I really enjoy working with my individual and seeing her adapting to me, trusting me with her everyday life. I love seeing her grow and do more things with me. She is now starting to say more, as I'm working with her to be more verbal. Using her cards is a big help. She is also doing more things independently, like making up the bed and cleaning up after herself. At first, it was with my help; now she does it on her own!
As a DSP, I enjoy working with my individual. When I first started, he did not know how to bathe himself, wash his clothes, and he did not know how to perform his personal hygiene. Now he knows how to perform all these tasks and more. As a DSP, I enjoy working with various independents.
I am really excited about being a DSP. I feel that our services are definitely needed. The training opened my eyes to documentation with my individual. Thank you, CC&C staff, for your support and patience with me.
Being a DSP has really taught me a lot about people with mental disabilities. I've learned that you have to observe people and sometimes follow their lead. Some individuals have a hard time staying with a task, so they can only do so much a day. They can get things stuck in their minds, and that's what they are going to go with. It's a great pleasure working with them.
Today's meeting has been a great help with documentation. Being a DSP is rewarding with individuals who need help with life goals. It's a pleasure to assist people with disabilities and individuals who are eager to work on life challenges that we face every day.

All of the CC&C staff have so much to offer and prove so on a daily basis. They need to be celebrated! The gratitude that I feel for anyone who chooses to work in this field is immense. Our DSP is one example of such caring and compassion. She is always available to help ease the burden with our entire family. It would be easy to think of this as just a job, but she is so much more to our family, always checking in and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
My niece's manager has been diligently provided with top-notch DSP personnel. I have seen noticeable and positive changes in her. I know she confides in them things she may not feel free to share with me. This proves to me that DSP staff are not only professional, but personable with her as well. This fact relieves me knowing she has someone to talk with and confide in.
